Chase Freedom Approval... Should I...?!?

Yes, I was approved for my current "Dream Card" - The Chase Freedom... I am very GRATEFUL & APPRECIATIVE!!! However, I am wondering if I should recon for a higher CL from my approved $500...?!? I am thinking a mere $1000 just to put me in a bit more comfort zone to push usage through it without maxing it out all the time, and having to keep PIF several times a statement period... I am not too concerned with HP's at the current time because I have no desire to be apping for awhile... Any recommendations, disputes, insights, and/or opinions are appreciated!!! Thank You in advance!!!

Hey lvkalani definitely call their recon number since they gave you only 500 to start which isn't much
Amex Blue Cash Everyday: $25,000 | Navy FCU Cash Rewards: $25,000 | Discover It: $20,500
Chase Freedom: $12,500 | Citi Double Cash: $10,000 | Bank of America Cash Rewards: $8,000

Re: Chase Freedom Approval... Should I...?!?

I think that's the issue - 22.99% with a $500 CL. I have seen many posts where the card seems to be perpetually stuck with those terms. Maybe you can try and recon, but I haven't seen too many success stories that state otherwise.

I know you mentioned that you aren't concerned about hard pulls, but I would recommend waiting 6 months or so before trying. At that point, I would take the HP and ask for a more substantial increase. Best wishes.

Re: Chase Freedom Approval... Should I...?!?

In my opinion it's usually a bad sign when offered the highest rate APR. Yes, true you may never carry a balance to encounter that but the picture is bigger than that.

Why did I get approved with the highest rate APR?

Just something to keep in mind but I highly recommend anyone to counter an initial offered CL if ur not satisfied. Worst answer u can get is no right?

Re: Chase Freedom Approval... Should I...?!?

I guess the reason for this posting is, I don't want to waste my time; I'd like to just enjoy... I have already invested much time & effort to get to where I am now... This all started at the end of April of this year up until last night... I went for & got exactly what I desired cc wise for now, and have been very fortunate; for I gave up on any type of credit since 2002... I am extremely surprised with these achievements, and don't want to over do it...
