Chase Freedom Cash Rewards Process?

So i just got a Chase Freedom card and it has cash rewards...do they just deposit cash into my chase checking at the end of the month or something? How are rewards given?

Re: Chase Freedom Cash Rewards Process?

If you have online banking, you can redeem rewards online by Check, Deposit into Chase Account, or Statement Credit.

From my experience, you accumulate points and you can redeem the points for gift cards, account credit, or buy merchandise with the points.

I wish they did a better job showing you more details about how you got points.

They just give you an amount at the statement cycle and there is no way I can keep track that they calculated my rewards right.

CapitalOne Platinum - $1500
Chase Freedom - $5000 Chase Southwest Premier - $3000
Discover More - $3700
Barclays US Airways - $1500
American Express Platinum, Gold PRG, and Zync - NPSL

Yeah, you can access the Ultimate Rewards mall from Online Banking as well, I haven't looked into it much yet, so I didn't want to comment on it.

Yeah. I just thought it was straight CASH back...not points that you then have to convert to cash.

Re: Chase Freedom Cash Rewards Process?

It's all the same, really, either way I log on and request a check. One point is one cent anyway.

I thought Chase was pretty clear about the point rewards, or at least it's pretty clear on my bills.

Each bill has a Rewards Summary section that lists:
Previous Points Balance - Self explanatory

Points earned on purchases - However many dollars spent, rounded up

10% Bonus Points per $1 you spend - 10% of above, rounded up

Bonus 10 points on every purchase - 10 x # of transactions

Current points total - self explanatory

The only grey area I've noticed is when I happen to spend in the 5% categories (not often for me.) It'll just give you a number, but won't tell you which purchases were eligible to be calculated into it or not.

Remember that you only get this if you have a Chase checking account too.

Ah right - I forgot to mention that, sorry.

I became a part of Chase when they ate up my WaMu account.
