Hello,
I finally decided to post on here after reading hundreds of these forums. Here is my question: I am currently in law school and I am trying to build my credit. In Novemebr I was approved for a Citi Diamond Prefferred with a $1K limit and I have a Cap One Plat. with $750. I recently learned about util% and started paying my credit cards off, which I do every month, before the cycle ends so that my balances will report low. I would like to apply for a Chase Freedom card and I was curious about my approval odds. My CK score is 624, which still reports 81% util. I'm waiting for my correct balances to post before I apply. Once that happens my credit score should jump up. Also, I only have 4 Inq. on all of my credit reports over the last 2 years, inluding one this month from when I leased my car. Any advice you have would be appreciated. Thank you so much! Oh, and my averge account history is 1yr 4months.
I am going to hit you with some solid advice, wati untill the utility drops off and than pull your Fico score on here. Dont rely on Credit Karma to know where you stand. Credit Karma Is 50 points lower than my Fico so you really dont have a clue what your real credit score is.
I just got approved after a recon and I have 1 year of credit history on a $300 secured card, 3 new credit cards and a new car loan all within a month in a half and 8 INQ so I think you should be golden. If they do happen to deny you I see no issue getting approved through recon but YMMV. Good Luck!
You all are missing the point he is flying blind without a current fico report

I agree but like you said once he gets his utiliization down he should be good to go as long as his score is in the 670+ range FICO wise.
Thank you everyone! I do not have any baddies or BK. When my util goes down, which seems to take for ever, then I will try and apply. I will keep everyone posted.
Ok, last question. I see everyone talking about real FICOs. Where do you get these?
