Chase Freedom Question

I've read that Chase Visa Signature has extended warranty protection (like AMEX), but I have not seen anything about Chase Freedom Visa.

Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of an extended warranty feature for Chase Freedom Visa holders?  I'm about to buy a new laptop and I can't decide if I should put it on Freedom or BCE.

Re: Chase Freedom Question

Yes the non-signature Freedom Visa has extended warranty, purchase protection, return protection, and price protection. Although the actual $ amount of coverage is slightly less than Amex.

Do you happen to know where I can find the dollar amount?  I did a pretty extensive google search and chase.com search but found nothing.

It's in that pamphlet that came with the card. Let me see if I can dig it up for you.

Re: Chase Freedom Question

Ok here it is:

Purchase protection - within first 60 days covers $250 per claim for theft, damage, or accidental parting with property

Extended warranty - automatically doubles manufacturer's warranty up to 1 year for warranties of 3 years or less up to $10000 per claim

Return protection - within first 60 days up to $250 per claim if you are dissatisfied with the item and the retailer will not take it back

Price protection - within first 60 days if you see a printed ad for less than purchase price we will refund the difference up to $250

Hope that helps!

Re: Chase Freedom Question

Yeah stingy except for with the warranty. Must have to jump through a lot of hoops to file a claim!

Re: Chase Freedom Question

Given that is a no AF card? That's not too bad.
