Chase Freedom Reporting

Does anyone know how Chase reports to CRA's?
is it the statement amount or the amount after the statement is generated?

I don't understand the question.  What is the difference between the "statement amount" and the "amount after the statement is generated?"

I don't have a Chase Freedom, but my Chase card reports the statement balance on the statement closing date.

Re: Chase Freedom Reporting

Meant to write statement balance or balance after the statement is generated (usually a week later)

Re: Chase Freedom Reporting

DW's Chase card reports the balance from the statement, not sure when it actually reports it though, on the statement date or later.  I'll be checking a lot though as we just switched to the Freedom card and I'm curious to see if it reports the CL (I asked to switch to a signature card before I knew about the CL reporting issue).

Re: Chase Freedom Reporting

I have never heard of any CC reporting nothing other than the amount listed on your statement.

HSBC cards report the balance on the last weekday of the month, regardless of what the last statement balance was.

Amex reports the statement balance, but one month behind.  Kay Jewelers does the same.

Maybe it's different with Direct Merchants Bank, who is also HSBC, but for me they report statement balance on the statement date.

Interesting.  That's the first I've ever heard of any HSBC card doing that.

orchard reports the balance at the time of reporting, not the statement balance.
