Remarks: After reviewing the positive manner in which you have maintained your credit history, we're pleased to inform you that your credit line has been raised to $50500, which is greater than the $34500 credit line you requested. You qualified for a greater amount due to your positive credit history, and we hope you enjoy the additional flexibility. If you'd like your credit line lowered to an amount you find more suitable for your needs, please log on to your account and e-mail us your desired credit line, or call Customer Service directly at the number listed below. We will be happy to process your request. If you have any further questions, please reply using the Secure Message Center. Thank You, Ben Benavidez E-mail Customer Service Representative

Even if you get your card "de-Signaturized" "de-Worlded", it will probably still not report and be counted in util because its CL is so high. I have gotten tangled up as to whether it's $40K or $50K, but one of those is the threshhold to no longer report.

If you don't see it counting in your util, etc., you might want to drop the CL to $49K and see if it pops back up.

Congrats! Always good to hear from people with long-term relationships being treated nicely.

edit to add: thanks, D_Boone! I knew something looked wrong about my post, but I couldn't figure what it was. Smiley Tongue

The key here is World card. Welcome to the benefits of cards with no pre-set spending limit.

It reports the limit? or just its existence? Can you tell (in case your FICO score reports show your util on screen 2) if it's being used to calculate your util?

edit to add: I'm sorry, awesome CL!!!! Don't know if I've ever seen one that high before.

Re: Chase Freedom World Card doesn't report limit of 50.5k

A world card is a no-preset spending limit. Instead of a credit limit, you have an access line. So, you can go above the credit limit (based at the point of sale). As long as the amount spent over the access line is paid back in full by the billing cycle due date, there is default (late fee/ol fee or apr increase). It is not technically a credit limit, so no, it does not get reported. Hope this helps Smiley Happy

Thanks! Yes, that's the understanding around here about World and Signature cards --great fun, but potentially tough on your credit scores. Without that access line/ credit limit being reported, any balance that is reported can well make it look as if the card is maxed out, depending on previous highest balances that were reported.

Just trying to find out if plasticguy has found a way to beat the system!

Some World/Signature cards report CL. (Saks World Elite, BOA). Some do not (Chase, Citi, Ameriprise etc.).

USBank Sig. reports credit line.
which is funny because when I log into my online billing on USBank site, there is no credit line shown!
