I received an alert from MyFico monitoring today that an account change happened, and when I looked it was for a Chase card (I have 5 of them) and the balance is $133/$6,000 so I knew it had to be the Freedom. The change was Credit Card ====> Flexible Spending. Does this mean Chase automatically switched me to a VS? My other Chase cards all started as VS, but this one was opened as a $3k Amazon Visa in early November 2014 and PC to Freedom two weeks later. I was going to SM Chase in December to request the VS, but does anyone know if it's likely that's what the "account change" means? Thanks in advance for any insight!
Yep, that's what it means.

They are open today, call and ask.
I agree! As CAPTOOL mentioned above, it appears your Freedom card was upgraded to Signature. It's likely they will be sending a replacement card as well but definitely call them if you'd like to get confirmation msbia
Thank you guys! I am someone who HATES calling a creditor unless absolutely necessary lol. So...I think I will wait it out. I appreciate your responses.
You can also send them a secured message if you prefer that route Either way, waiting doesn't hurt either and hope it's a nice surprise for you!
Thanks Fin! I spent an hour on the phone with Sprint today in a battle royale and I am just "customer cared" out lol. I think I will try the SM route. Thank you again!

I didn't notice, but got same alert. I called, and they only showed Visa Signature, no system information as to when change took place.

I ended up sending a SM and they confirmed it had been converted to a Signature. The rep stated I could use the same card, but I wrote back and asked for a new one to be sent and the next rep stated they would send a VS card within 3-5 business days.

Congrats! Side note: I know you said you're not much for calling, but Chase has always been very good for me in terms of expediting cards, so I would strongly recommend giving them a call and asking if they can do that for you. I've always been able to get mine expedited for free within 1-2 business days.
