Apologies for being a little outdated haha. I'm still reminiscing of a time when Chase had a card called the "Freedom" and handed out Auto-CLI like candy.

I got pretty regular auto-CLI on my Chase Amazon for a while, but that was like a decade ago.

Indeed. They've only been my main squeeze for 15 years, so I haven't witnessed this alleged behavior.
Two mortgages, some cards, and a few car loans later, I'm still Chase noob
Speaking as someone who had Chase cards in the '00s and '10s, I got my first and only auto CLI in 2019 - $1500 right after I had them drop the $700 off the end of another credit line because it not ending in ,000 bothered me. 😂
Chase handing out Auto CLIs like candy.. Uhm.. I got my first one and have had the card for just under 4 years..... and it was my AZ Prime Visa...
Kinda a fan of Discover due to my dealings with them.. Though like anything in this sphere, YCMV....
Miss Disco seems to like my credit profile...

Both are good cards. If I had to get rid of one of the 2, it would be Discover. The 3% and 5% are bonus for me. I don't care about APRs or difficulty in getting CLIs. They have Chase offers. They have extended warranty and cell phone protection. So those things make a difference. I have both cards plus the Freedom Flex.
Plus, the Freedom cards have a little more cachet than Discover, if that makes any difference to you.
