Could some of you credit wizards help me with a reasonable fico score range when I can consider applying for a Chase Freedom card? My credit specifics are I have a lien from 2006 for 5500 release in 2008, I have a recent BoA card settle for less than the full amount, and I have a citi account from 19 years ago still aging on my exp report but nowhere else for some weird reason. Besides that I have new cards from Walmart and Cap1 plat that are less than a month old. i have 3 hard inquiries. What should be my fico score goal to get to before considering the Chase Freedom. I was looking at acceptance data on CK. Im not sure how accurate that is however.
Thanks for your time and your input.....
I was just approved for their SLATE card yesterday with a $2,500 CL..
They pulled from Experian where my score is 695. My Equifax is 708 and TransUnion is 665.. I live in Va so I don't know if they will pull from experian in every state..
I had 2 foreclosures in 2006 and a federal tax lien in 2009 for $23,000 - it was paid and released in 2010... No other credit issues after 15years of established credit...
seems iffy Chase doesn't like blemishes you should go to Creditboards.com to help fix your credit report and scores first. but you could apply but if approved you won't get anything more than 300-500 imo.

chase has religously pulled eq for me. in mass (4 times)
it doesnt like too many blemishes and is aaoa sensitive.
(you need an aaoa of at least 1year plus+)
also that does not include store cards( i learned that the hard way)

and they want to see atleast 2-3 Visa/Amex/MC/Discover accounts my friend learned that the hard way -_-; 740 credit score 3 years with Discover perfect history and 2 years with Capital One closed account with 1 marks and morgans store card and only gave him a $500 limit on a freedom -_-;
I kinda helped answer my own question by finding this thread from the summer:

So you are saying I should wait..... Gee. The writing is on the wall for me. i need to do a lot of gardening. I should count my blessings that I was approved for 2 of the 3 credit cards I applied for this week and garden away. I am just trying to get my aging process going with a few accounts as quick as possible. 2 is enough though I guess. That leaves room for me to get another in 6 months and thus have a perfect amount of cards with 3 credit cards. I'm considering doing a DCU CREDITBUILDER Loan with 1000 Dollars cause DCU is near me and I have no history with loans on my credit report at all. I guess I should try to et long terms of such a loan. The longer the better seems....

we arent saying count your blessing but the freedom is a "prime" card i guess as they call them. so chase requires a litlle better then ok (not bad) credit

if your planning on gardening anyways just app for it, but don't expect a great limit I'll be surprised if it's over $1,000 but it shoudl be fine, it's a great card to have.
People on this forum I've said a million times OMG a INQUIRY!!!! but they don't hurt as much as people think, people apply for 100+ credit cards a year and still get approved for new cards, it's just knowing which cards to apply for. Just know that if you app spree often you won't ever get into PenFED most likely, but not like their rewards are that spectacular imo.
US Bank is a hard nut to crack as well. Amex is moderate but ok once your in. Chase is pretty much ok , Citi is easy, Barclay is moderate etc. It all depends on a lot. Regardless 1 more inquiry won't do a very noticable amount to your score especially in the range your at. If you get 1 friend or family to add you as an authorized user to their accounts to a old strong credit line you'll get a huge bump.
