Just wondering if anyone has any experience with how long Chase will blacklist following a settlement "Legally Paid For Less Than Full Balance". I do not owe them anything at all, however they lost about $10K in the deal about six years ago. It was not a BK, simply a settlement.
I assume they still blacklist for life (or close to that) under these circumstances?
I'm not sure, but if you are still on their naughty list, you will probably not get a prequalified offer: https://www.chase.com/prequalified
I'd wait until it's no longer on your credit report (the tradeline) then try once a year for an "easier card" like Amazon Visa. My best guess is 8 to 10 years before they let you back in (if they do).

I had a charge off with chase in 2006. I have had a chase bank account for about 6 years. They instanlt approved me for a Chase Freedom at $500 limit in March 2018 thru logging into my online account and seeing a green check mark for selected card offers. Then 3 weeks ago I received in the mail a prequalified offer for Chase Saphire. Entered he invitation number and approved instantly for $2500.
Weird. I didn’t think Sapphire was available to new applications. .. and the CSP has a minimum $2500 CL...

I thought the CSP was a $5K minimum? Is this $2.5k a new thing? When I got denied a few months ago, I called to recon and I was told by the analyst he couldn't offer me a $5k CL, which was the minimum requirement for the card.
