Chase Limit Increase using existing inquiry?

I applied and was approved instantly for the Chase AARP card yesterday.  My question is if I was to request a credit limit increase on my Freedom card would they use the same inquiry from yesterday?

I swear I've read that if an inquiry is less than 30 days old the creditor won't pull a new one?

Re: Chase Limit Increase using existing inquiry?

The only time I have known Chase to not do another HP is when the CLI request is for the newly approved card (and then they still usually do unless the did a double-pull for the approval). For example, I have had CLI's at activation twice with them, and both times (6/14, and most recently 9/15) they pulled EX and TU for the card approval. When I asked for a CLI, they did not do another pull.

Re: Chase Limit Increase using existing inquiry?

I've heard a few reports of people calling the same day and getting CLIs on older Chase cards.

I don't know if it works the next day, or if it's a policy that's changed.

I'd call and ask.
