But yeah, the vast majority of my creditors (with the excpetion of AT&T, AMEX doing a triple pull) everyone else has been pulling EX for me (I would imagine it is my worst report because of all the 3 inquiries.) I think it has to be assgined by region and what card one is applying for, for the bureau to be pulled....IMO.
Wow, that is odd.... Amex only pulled Ex for me, and Discover pulled only Eq for my brother and most people that I saw on the credit pulls database. So there must be other factors than just region at play here.
Experian is based in orange county, california.
Equifax is based in east coast (atlanta if I am not wrong).
transunion is chicago if i am not wrong as well.
I think it's based upon each bank's contract with each CRAs. For banks that pull all 3, it might be a region thing as well to determine which gets pulled most likely, such as the case for Citi, US Bank and Wells Fargo. Amex and Chase are almost guaranteed to pull EX 99% of the time and transunion for barclays however.
I'm still in socal as well and it's really sad. 12 inquiries on my EX in past 2 years, 1 inquiry on my EQ for my entire credit history, 3 on TU for my entire credit history....lol
I should move somewhere for the summer and go on an app spree.

Hey, I know what it's like. I have 10 inqs on Ex and 5 on each of the other two. Luckily for me, Ex has been my best one, though now it is Eq.

check out the rebuilding section. they offer a lot of tips and info on how you can attempt to repair your credit yourself w/o having to pay someone else to.
if that still fails, it's still not too late to seek help from a credit repair company then.
EX & TU for me back in December.
I had the exact same inquires as threadstarter, Chase and First USA when I applied for CSP. Was immediately approved for $30k. I already have two other cards with Chase (including plain Sapphire), as well as checking and a mortgage, so you’d think they’d know my profile sufficiently well with a single pull. I don’t think double pulls are the result of them necessarily needing a “second opinion”. It must be based on other criteria.
