Chase Question

So this could either be in business or here I am not sure. In the past I have had chase cards and in 2010 my interest rate was too high so I accepted the payment plan and reduced my rate. They closed the account and back then I didnt really know better.

I paid the account off already with no missed payments however I have applied for a couple of chase personal cards and have been denied right away due to being blacklisted. I reconned reconned and reconned some more with no luck whatsoever.

I hoenstly almost gave up but decided to try one last time for the Chase ink plus card for a business I am a partner in. I was approved for 5,000!!

So my question is does having a chase business credit card mean that I am back in?

Am I off the blacklist now and can apply for a personal card once I show good payment history?

Thanks.

Re: Chase Question

It could be that they just blacklisted you for a few years and you have surpassed the ban.

I dont think you were on their blacklist. Blacklist are for folks that Chase took a loss on (unpaid charge off.) You paid them back in full. If you apply for another personal card and were denied then I would call for a recon.

The problem was that I was reconning and kept being denied and the reason they said I was auto decline was because of a "previous derogatory relationship with chase"

So thats why I am thinking it was a blacklist issue. Oh well I am in, I just hope in the future I can apply for a personal card.

Re: Chase Question

I have learned that Chase uses an additional CRA which I never heard of it was call Credit Risk Assement ..... but anyways my FICO's were 670 across the board but I still got declined even though I have the BofA Americard, Barclay and Cap 1, and few others. Then I received the the reject letter and it showed that they used that agency in addition to Equifax and that score was significantly lower like a 572.

So I am not sure what that meant. I never had Chase but I think where I had a bad relationship before was with a Chase acquired company but that was like 10 years ago. But who know, these banks use a lot more than the big 3 to assess their qualifications. I know Credit Unions use some other Agency as well

"Previous Derogatory/Unsatisfactory relationship with Chase" is a very broad catagory they use. I would call for a recon and the analyst should see that you had paid your account in full and should not count this against you.

Some analyst do like to see at least a year since the account was paid and positive tradelines established.

"Credit Risk Assesment" is not another CRA, its Chase internal scoring model that evaluates credit applications based on their own data with cardholders.

You should always call for a recon if denied for a Chase Card.
