Currently i am still a little confused on how CSP helps earn you more points on things. Can someone explain how it earns more when combined with the freedom?
Also how many miles with CSP is a flight to say Europe for examples go? Thinking about getting the card, but not sure if its worth it?
Do Miles expire with CSP?
Last question does Chase Freedom offer the chip? If so how do i go about on getting it?
If you look a few posts down they talk about Chase Freedom with chip.
Well the CSP offers 2x on travel and dining which the Freedom doesn't. The combination of the two provides a distinct benefit though. The UR points you earn with the Freedom are only good for statement credits or amazon purchases (maybe gift cards too, I forget). The value of all of these is roughly one cent per point. With the CSP you can transfer points to certain partners like United, Southwest Airlines, Hyatt, etc, which allows you to get better value for your points. With the combination of both cards, you can transfer points from your Freedom to CSP and from there to partners.

1. With the CSP you earn 2.14 UR/$ on travel and dining out and 1.07 UR/$ on everything else. If you valued a UR at $0.01 you would be getting 2.14% back on travel and dining and 1.07% back on everything else. Since you can usually get about $0.02 per UR when you transfer those to mileage partners - i.e. United or Hyatt - you then double your redemption rate from 2.14% to 4.28% on travel and dining and from 1.07% to 2.14% on everything else. This is why this card is so very lucrative - if you put enough spend on it to more than compensate for the $95 AF.
By using the Freedom along with the CSP you can earn 5 UR/$ (or 5.5 UR/$ if you have a Chase checking account) on bonused categories. This means if you are able to get $0.02 per UR you are getting a redemption rate of 10-11% on your purchases when they are bonused on the Freedom card.
2. The cheapest I've found a flight with miles on the Chase UR system is 60,000 miles round trip (so 120,000 for my wife and I).
3. No
4. Apparently it is now out in the wild. I guess you would just apply for it and hope you get a chipped version (I don't know why they would be sending out some chipped versions and some not) but asking a CSR when applying might help, might not.
Another thing that people seem to forget is when you buy stuff online thru ur mall you can get 2x-8x,which is a nice way to accumulate some points
