Chase Recon for low CL?

I applied and was approved for 5k on a Chase United MileagePlus Explorer card on 3/14. My other Chase card (a Southwest VISA, which was used once to book a free flight) also started at 5k and has stayed there since I got the card last year.

Most of my other cards are above this limit. A CU Visa @ 6.5k, Sams Club Discover @ 8.5k, SPG @ 6k.

Will I have any luck getting Chase to recon for a higher inital CL? And if so, would this incur an additional HP after the inital HP for app'ing?

Re: Chase Recon for low CL?

you can recon for a higher CL. people have done it before and there's cases where it worked out.

most likely its going to be another HP unless you do it within the day you got approved, or within those few days. just don't drag it on.

Re: Chase Recon for low CL?

You could recon for a higher limit but im sure it will result in an hp. If you don't mind burning a hp i say go for it or you could burn the hp by asking for a cli on the southwest since it's been open longer.
