Re: Chase Ultimate Rewards question

So my question is.. can you pair all 3?

There's no pairing.  You can transfer points among your UR cards.

CSP for the 2 points on all travel + dining.

5% revolving with the freedom.

and everything else on the FU?

Make sure you're doing the math for your spend and redemptions.  How much is another 0.5x in terms of dollars for your spend and redemptions?  Don't just assume that 1.5 is better than 1 based solely on those numbers.

I guess you don't see CSP fu and f being reviewed together because it's only a .5% difference.

One has to have enough spend to spread.  Most of the programs require running a large spend through just one of the programs.  Taking forever to accrue enough to redeem is also a potential concern.

Make sure your spend and redemptions can benefit from these programs. If you don't have the spend and/or can't leverage sufficiently high value redemptions then you may be better served with cash back. Doing the math will equip you to compare.

Re: Chase Ultimate Rewards question

Random_idiot. I don't mean to throw cold water on your plans but your current CL's and scores are too low for CSP, read the CSP approval threads. I would check the Chase pre-qual page often and app for Freedom when it shows up for you.

I thought about app'ng for FU and use it instead of my QS for a general spend card but I like having Cap One as another big bank.  CSR has my attention though ............

Yes, I did read the approvals, and that's why I think I may get it. Not getting my hopes too up obviously. I bank with Chase, have an auto loan with them as well. I have no mortgage and onc emy scores update, they should be in the 660-670 area. Ive read stories of 640s being approved with a history of low SL on the other cards.

I guess we will find out. I wont be disappointed if I dont get accepted, I will just know what to do to get it. you know?

Thanks takeshi, I already crunched numbers, and CSP makes a lot of sense.

the extra 0.5% would help as my general spending is a little high. However, I am aiming to have the 5% revolve, CSP, and FU..

Thank you, Im just trying to do research on how to get the freedom and FU if CSP gets approved. I see a lot of contradicting stuff. some say approved, some say approved but recon, and some say they tried both and still got denied?

Oy vey!

You may have a chance. If I can recall, Chase did double pull me for my CSP but not my Freedom. For CSP they pulled both EX and EQ. My EX was at that time 623 and my EQ 670-680ish? sheesh cannot remember and it sucks it was a couple of months ago lol. But yeah definitely wait until your scores rise up to at least 670 and you should be good. Remember if you do receive a 30 day message it is a really good sign. I had that and I waited two weeks for Chase to call me to verify my number and I was approved. Good luck OP Smiley Happy

This was me as well. I apped for both the CSP and the Freedom with scores just under 700. I have since merged the csp into the Freedom because I got the Ink. I did have some regrets because I think my freedom started with a lower CL due to the scores.  I also made  sure I had the preapprovals before I pulled the trigger. Good luck OP.

Edited because I forgot to give my two cents on the original question.. I didn't have the FU,  but I did have Ink, CSP and Freedom for a month or so. I didn't have any trouble merging my points even with one of them being a buisness account so I don't see why you would.

Re: Chase Ultimate Rewards question

Just a reminder that there will be a lag between when your reports update and the Chase prequalify site SP's the new reports. It is my guess, and it is just a guess, that checking a bank's pre-qual page gets you into their system if you weren't there already.
