My CSP card was mailed out on Tuesday Aug 14. I asked them to expedite the shipping but they said they can't b/c it's a new account. The bank said it should arrive within 3-5 business days. My guess was worst case scenario it should be here on Monday Aug 20. But it’s still not here today!

I asked our mailman he said worst case it should have arrived on Saturday Aug 18.

So I asked Chase on Wednesday to ship it again (new card) now using faster shipping. However they used again USPS regular mail to send out a second card.

Of course I’m not gonna trust USPS with this 3-5 days BS. I had to ask Chase on Thursday again, 3rd time, now this time I was literally FORCING them to send it via UPS 2-3 business days. Being that we are at the end of the week, it’s gonna cross a weekend so it’s actually gonna take 5-6 days. This is total BS. What should have arrived within just a couple of days now it’s taken over 2 weeks, possibly into 3.

I was so excited when I got approved for the CSP and literally was at my mailbox everyday to wait for the mailman to delivery my card. Now all I get is this BS. Meanwhile all the purchases I made during these 2 weeks could have been on the CSP earning points and spending towards the sign up bonus. I have been holding off some larger purchases to wait for the card. $3000+ purchase that can get me the bonus in freaking ONE swipe.

I asked them THREE TIMES to expedite the shipping, it's only the third time when I literally forced them to send it via UPS that they complied.

All the excitement that originally came with the card is now gone.  I thought I would be so happy to see the card, now I just think that all this trouble and wait and the points I lost, would offset my excitement and when the card actually comes, it’ll be NOTHING. I’ve been waiting for this moment since I got my first credit card. Now it turns into NOTHING. Just because all the BS by USPS and Chase.

OP

Same thing happen to me with Discover. It took a month to get my card. it got banged up in the usps machine etc

i got them to send the 3rd card overnight. i have all the time in the world to wait for the first card to turn up. I don't think it will.

Sorry to hear about that experience OP. I can empathize with your situation as we went through that same sort of thing as well.

My wife got approved for CSP at the beginning of this month. We received her card (2nd card) 3 weeks after approval. Who’s fault was it?

The ever reliable good ol’ USPS!

How do I know this?

I’m signed with their Informed Delivery Service where you get daily emails from USPS with scanned pictures of your daily mails and I saw her card arriving exactly the 5th business day after approval! We never received that card!

I’m so tired of handing my neighbors their mails delivered in our mailbox by mistake! Funny thing is none of my neighbors ever handed me/us any mails they might have gotten!

So we had to request for a 2nd card and cancelled the 1st one. Where the card went? Who knows!

To be fair here, this situation can be posted about every lender out there.  I can understand your frustration with Chase, but know that this isn't isolated to them.  I'm going through something very similar with Citi currently, when I was supposed to have a card in my land last Friday the 17th.  It's now Friday the 24th and I still have no card.  All lenders, big and small screw up.  All you can hope is that you aren't on the receiving end of a screw up, but ultimately we all are at one point or another.

No, informed delivery is free.  It's a great free service.  Every morning around 7:30AM I receive an email and know exactly what pieces of mail will be in my mailbox around 4:30PM.  If there's ever a variance between the informed delivery email and what I actually receive, I know immediately when I open my mailbox and can take corrective action.  Everyone should use informed delivery.

Thanks, I learnt something new today. I just signed up!!! I had to verify info by answering 3 multiple choice questions from my credit report. Will it show all the mail for my address or only the ones in my name?

+1+1 on BBS and Jagman!

It’s a FREE service. They’ll just mail you a code after you signup thru their website to confirm that you actually reside in the address you’re signing up for to activate your account.

You’ll see every mail that’s coming into your address regardless who they’re for.

20 years with Chase CC’s and I have never had a problem. Is there something awkward about your address like apt building with seperate mailboxes or someone elses name on the property? Sorry the inital enthusiam was dampened. But good luck. Let us know when you get.

Just checked my messages, Chase said they sent the 3rd card out on the 23rd and gave me a tracking number. It should arrive today by 3pm. Finally they've done what they were reluctant to do in the first place, and it was what they should have done, send it overnight.

The address is fine, standard apartment building. I’ve been getting all other mails. This is my first ever lost mail. Just unfortunately it’s my CSP.

There is no reason they should HAVE to ship a new card overnight, unless you are willing to pay for the added expense.   Did you offer to pay for expidited shipping?
