Chase and the Forward Looking Glass

Based on some prior discussions, I've come to understand that Chase may not look kindly upon those who credit seek immediately after getting approved for a Chase account (may be an incorrect assumption). With a recent Sapphire Preferred approval (a week ago), I'm trying to time my next apps carefully, and will be ready to do two new applications at the beginning of July (when I'll fall back to 1/12).

So if I was to apply and be approved for say a new Citi account and a credit union card in early July (roughly 1 month after the Sapphire approval), would Chase view the new activity as an issue and take adverse action? This is assuming no changes to my credit profile otherwise, including no changes to utilization, income, etc.

Does anyone have experience with adverse action of this kind, and if so, what were the circumstances?

I had no adverse reactions from Chase when I opened a CSP on the same day as two Elan MCP and AmEx BCP, and Amex Plat 3 months later.

I think you'll be fine.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear.
