Chase app status line… update?

Does the chase application status line update, with a denial or approval?  Or, does it simply continue to say 2 weeks, 7-10 days, 30 days etc. until you receive either your card or a denial in the mail?

Thanks!

Re: Chase app status line… update?

THAT is an awesome question OP! I have had the 2 week message on the status line for over three weeks and see nothing on line or in the mail yet, very frustrating  LOL

it's the 7-10

I can't speak for every situation, but I was receiving the 30 day message for two full weeks and then it changed late one evening to "approved", and told me my credit line of 10k on my new Hyatt.

They only change the message once per day but I did call daily to see if there were changes. It does seem from other posts that Chase applications have been taking some time lately to approve. Generally, it seems that as long as the message is saying 30 days or 2 weeks/ 14 days, it is looking pretty positive for you - it's the 7-10 day message that seems to not be so positive in terms of approval. Best of luck to you both! Think positively Smiley Happy

Re: Chase app status line… update?

Here's my experience recently!

12/24 - applied for Ritz Carlton card online, went to "Further review" n called analyst who reviewed my report for 10 minutes and came back with "Recommended Approval". Submitted for final review.

12/25 - 12/29: "You will be notified of our decision in approximately two weeks" said the automated line. I heard great things about this message being an approval.

12/29 afternoon - "You've been approved!" This was after emailing a contact in Chase (no I can't share details lol sorry- not my place to do so) and getting app expedited. I was told apps can take 30 days to process after final review but usually only take 10 days.

12/31 - Waiting for Ritz to generate rewards # then my beautiful new metal card will be sent overnight:-)

So yes it will usually change to approved or 7-10 days which is a denial in 95% cases. But I've seen others get the card while it still says "2 weeks" so ymmv.

Good luck !

Re: Chase app status line… update?

Things seem to be changing with chase. I was instantly approved for CSP in January after receiving a mail offer. Been with the bank since 2011. No more apps planned. Too old and plenty of cards.

Anyone get the 2-week message and one-week later it changed to 7-10 message but was still approved in the end?

Applied for chase aarp last week on the wives account, still getting the 14 day message. Looks like I will have to wait it out.

Re: Chase app status line… update?

I also apped for AARP, but changing from 30-days to 2-weeks, then to 7-10 days for the verification of my address, then 2-week message (guess they received my mail), now it is 7-10 days message again. Not sure what is happening... Good sign or bad? I never do business with Chase before.
