I finally got my letters AND my beautiful CSP card (that's closed). The reason they closed all of mine were too many cards and too may inquiries (which were all Chase)! I'm just going to sit tight and get my scores up and inquiries down then go elsewhere. I have no need for them. Money isn't an issue. I was trying to build my credit. I made over $400 off their promo, so I'll just pay them off with the 15 month 0% interest and be done with them forever.
It just stinks that they inquired, approved, then closed and now I have to wait for those to fall off. Seems so silly, but it is what it is.

It is a nice looking card, sorry that happened to you. you know, I once took a lifespring course in the early 80s. lol I know. grew out of the est movement. anyhow, there was a banner near the ceiling that got bigger and bigger each day and it really stuck with me. 'what are you pretending not to know' people are always shocked when a AA lands on their doorstep when the reality is it’s amazing it does not happen more often. Someone gets a bunch of cards before they report and then are stumped and pissed when the lender settles the mess with a single AR followed by a swift AA. There is no cheating the algorithms and rules that are in place, you got approved before the dust settled, nothing more. The computer can only poll what has been reported and once the scales are balanced then the shoe drops. I think we get what we deserve in this life. I screwed up and used debit and prepaid cards for a long time after my divorce and 2006 meltdown. I chipped away at it and proved myself again to lenders. That is all it takes. Start small and show a pattern of normal spend and pif and good things will come. I am not saying evert AA or CLD is deserved but for the most part if one deals in a clean and simple fashion with lenders nothing will ever happen to them. Beliefs are what they are. Some people don’t want to mix banking and lending. Fine. I believe that is nonsense and I believe in building relationships. Once you have a chase banker and have a decent amount on deposit you would not believe how nice it can be. Chase is amazing in every way imo. Cruise reddit, there are dedicated subs for them. I am not alone. Nobody like being played, we don’t – chase is no different. This post is brought to you by jack & coke.
Could there be an identity mixup, aka them getting you mixed up with somebody else? Seems wierd that they did not confiscate your available funds in your checking account. That is "green money" so to speak. I'd like to hear what the reasons are, thanks.

Bourgogne I agree to an extent. I was AA'd by chase due to inquiries last year around June, only thing is.... no inquiries were after my chase cards. They made a valid point such as too many new accounts/inquiries. When I spoke to a SR risk analyst I was told UW can approve but after the approval when they SP if they deem you "too must risk" they'll close the accounts.
I took 9 months to nurture my garden, and went back to chase with even bigger approvals! Hopefully no AA coming soon for me, chase is my favorite issuer, simple to work with, some of the best sign up bonuses and friendly IMO.
@Anonymous -- you did not app for 9 months? impressed! really. the chase back-end is very robust, I just saw it in action 3/6 - went in with a friend to a branch that has been on debits for 7 years because her soon to be ex trashed her credit. I got her from mid 500s to a ex 633k when she went in - wanted a chance to nab a csr. anyway, the result was a csr @ $22K and an ink bus preferred for $39K. internal score was 732. she had closed a card in 2006 after owning it for 23 years. my banker was stunned. none of these lenders believe in archiving, everything is online and where they only might pull ex you can bet they have intel on the other 2. you should count yourself lucky you got to talk to someone in uw - that is possible with chase as well as nfcu and penfed but forget cap1 or ax when it comes to that. I have been trying for over a month to clear an issue with ax - they have me as dead. totally serious. today I gave up, called the 212# and let the person that picked up the phone know how I felt. I was talking to someone in the eo office in >1min lol. the first person I have spoken with at ax that was not outsourced that gave me an ext and said my email is being looked at and the issue will be fixed. chase is great imo, the fact that some don't have the outcome they desire does not make them bad. I blew a $ 200 bus checking bonus last week - account needed 5 debit swipes but I used my ink for a few by mistake, doh - everything is blue! one email to chase resulted in a response the next day saying there is a 2 week grace period at chase for sign up's. incredible. they charged me a $95 fee by mistake when I downgraded and pc'ed my csp to a fu the same day. credit showed the next day. that is in part why they get all my swipes, no bank I have come in contact with is more customer driven than they are. there are 8 branches in a 1mi radius from 90210, its insane

Can a mod please close this thread where no one else can comment? The topic is starting to change and there is no need for further comments. Thank you.
+1
Threads on a forum will do that.
Some other moderator may look at this and feel differently; however, this hasn't devolved into issues which warrant closing the thread and I for one would rather have a consolidated thread for Chase closure discussion than a bunch of smaller ones if the trend continues.
My forum management perspective.

good perspective. been on the forum for a year and it's big on jumping on topics and lenders and tearing them down or new cards come up and jumping on them. my convoluted retort was to only say that when a few people have an aa done with chase it does not mean that chase is on a rampage closing out accounts, that in fact some individuals have stellar experiences with them. the bad often floats to the top on the net, yelp restaurant and doctor reviews bear this out. the forum can be both helpful and entertaining, if a person does not like the discussion move on. closing it down for an occasional ramble with zero insults makes no sense to me. have a good day
