qeustion as above... previous threads seem to indicate that it does report for some people and not for others. Since chase adding authorized user only asks for name, would it necessarily mean that it will only report if the added user has an established credit history?
If you have similar experience of adding somoene without prior credit history, please let me know!
I think it depends on if you are both at the same addess but hopefully someone else comes along with answers.
I added my BF with a different last name and same address, chase reported the next month.
I want to know because i am thinking of adding one of my daughters who legally has a different addess from mine and no credit history yet.

No, we have different addresses and different last names.
Did your BF have an established credit file at that time even though he had the same address as you? Thx!

CRAs using a match/filter to link accts with profiles. If your surnames, addresses are different you'll find it less likely to have the profiles match.

Meaning if I want an AUs account to report on their file, my best bet is if they use a diffrent address than mine and have a diffrent last name?

His history does go back 10 years but there isn't much on it.

I wonder if unique names would make a diffefrence then. I am the only one in the world with my name, probably the only one ever in history. My daughter has a rather unique name and google has never turned up another person with the same name.
It's amazing how much is known and unknown about how all of this works. It's definitely interesting.
It would be easier for them to match the two of you if there was same information. It would help if you had the same last name and address.

Same surname and address will help but there is no guarantee unless the lender asks for a SSN ie Amex
