Title says it all basically. Got a Chase Slate about 9 months ago for the 0% APR / 0% balance transfer to pay off my wife's car.
Now that it's paid off, I won't use the card - it doesn't offer me anything.
So my question is - could (or should) I call Chase and find out if I can switch this to a different product, like the Flex?
If they would do it, would:
A) I get the SUB
B) Get another hard credti pull?
Thanks - I did try to search, but mostly only see threads about people switching to/from CSR/CSP cards. Plus, what the heck do I know?
Shawn
You can PC to Flex. You aren't eligible for SUB if you do PC.
There won't be another HP for doing a PC.
Is PC = Product change?

Yes.
Once an account has been open for 12 months you can product change all you want.
Airline miles however start the expiration clock ticking.
This is why I love this forum.
Called and converted to Freedom Flex. Forum was 100% correct; no SUB / no hard pull.
I used the "backdoor" number I found in another board on here - whole process took 5 minutes start to finish.
Thanks everyone!
Last month I called Chase to product change my Slate to a Freedom Unlimited. I already have a Freedom, and wanted another Visa that I could at least get some rewards with at Costco. Took all of 5 minutes on the phone. Was able to use the old Slate card as a Freedom Unlimited immediately. You much call in for a Product Change so that they can read you disclosures. Cheers!

Why would they wait a year?
There is no annual fee increase involved
Don't want to press my luck - think I can do something like this with a BankAmericard? It's got 13k with a 0 balance.
Not sure if BOA has great credit cards or not.

BoA allows for PCs with some restrictions but you should be able to PC your card to a Cash Rewards which for you is likely a good option.
They don't normally allow a PC to the Premium Rewards card.
