A friend indicates that they just redeemed 15k points from their chase account from debit rewards. I never heard of this program nor do I have a chase banking account. For those of you that do have a chase account is this different from chase ultimate reward points? Could these points be pooled and sent to a travel partner if the person has a CSP or are these points totally different?
They did have it at one point, i had it on my debit card but for some reason they took it away. At least here in cali.
I actually had heard of it...they had reward debit cards up until the laws changed and debit transaction cost for merchants went way down and then the rewards were cut (since if they don't make the moneyoff the swipe fee from the merchants, they can't give rewards to the customers!).
Quicksilver $10,000 | Better Balance Rewards $2000 | Sallie Mae $3500 | Freedom $3500It could have been the other way around?

Never heard of such a thing and doubt there would be any advantage to using it over CSP for the points. I googled and it looks like they used to have a debit card with UR points but its discontinued and as I said im sure there is no advantage vs just using your UR credit card
Nobody is suggesting using the debit card over a credit card. The question deals with points she had in her account from the past. It would be a shame if she just redeemed a bunch of UR points for straight cash back.

Those points might not be transferable.

Why is it a shame? UR points are full value for cash. Ok, she may not have gotten extra value through transfers but not everyone has a trip to Japan coming up lol
Except she has a trip to europe coming up.
