Chase freedom question UPDATE!!

I have received a denial letter for Chase freedom and tried to recon with no luck. Just few days ago I received a letter requesting me to mail or fax gross annual income for further consideration for application. It's a legit letter as I verified with credit analyst. Im just confused because seems like a no go and now this letter. Has anyone experienced this? I have faxes required documents yesterday... I guess just wait and see. UPDATE!! APPROVED ON RECON. I would like to thank everyone on this board for the wrath of credit knowledge.

Re: chase freedom question

I can't remember where I saw it - but I was researching about the Chase Freedom card when I wanted to apply back in Janurary and I saw a thread on a forum where they did the same thing you did. I want to say it was on this board.. but it could've been another one. I found it by Googling "chase freedom denial." Ultimately he was approved after sending in those documents.

So maybe they just wanted to verify your income before approving you. Good luck.

Good luck. I think they want to give it to you or else why go through this trouble?

Re: chase freedom question

Thanks everyone for positive cooments. Chase is a major bank, anything is possible. I sure hope this approval goes through. I want this card more bad then any other prime card. I want to get rid of some of my sub prime cards and move on up. I will update on outcome.

Re: chase freedom question

I did an online application. Got denied basically. called the next day. Got approved. But i didn't get the intro 0% APR, which i thought i was getting. I didn't know of this until i received my card and activated it. So i was a little bummed out. I had this plan to do a transfer balance, but now that's a no go.... 2500 limit. 600-650 fico score.

Re: chase freedom question

You've already burned the INQ so you may as well exhaust all recon possibilities.
