Signature and proof of age which I faxed my drivers license in. Do they usually result in approval when they do this to applicants?
If they are going to all of that trouble to verify, I think that they're seriously considering giving tsquad131 a Freedom card...as long as you really are tsquad131!
Good luck, and please let us know what happens!

That is weird...especially since you have another Chase card. I recently got a Freedom and they didn't ask me for any additional verification. The only thing I can think of is did you change your address recently?
Weird....and I'm assuming there aren't any address mistakes on any of your credit reports?

+1....I had a Chase Rewards since 2002. In 2008, when I logged into my account (personal/savings/CC), a message popped up and said I was approved for a Chase Freedom. I hit accept and that was all there is to that. I know lenders have certain criterias, etc....on approval. And even though ppl have had complaints, I've been very happy with Chase and their CSR. I generally asked questions through their secured website and they response within a very timely manner.
Only thing I can think of is......
1. Changed of address recently or been at an address less than 2yrs
2. Have or had filed a claimed or dispute charges with Chase (so they want to verify your identity)
3. If you have a Chase CC, could be some activity usaged that raised a red flag in their security system
Overall, just have patience, they will approved you once they verify all the information. Like other have posted, they are not going through all this trouble to denied you, if you information checks out of course.
I did file a dispute a couple weeks back because I was overcharged and I contacted their dispute department and they gave me the credit on the spot. Their customer service has been great to me also so far I think Chase is a very good bank besides the fact of the verification process im going through is quite annoying
i contacted their backdoor number to ask them if there is going to be anymore documents I will have to provide soon and she said no so far this looks to be the final stage of the application process and unless something else comes up the application says its recommended to be approved but she cant guarantee me that it will be

+1...that is the thing with Chase, I had a couple of charges on my CC fronm over-sea activity (I wasn't abroad that time). I called them and it was removed immediately.
So overall, that is what is the hold-up. I am sure it will get cleared soon and you will have your Chase Freedom card. It's a card that will grow with you.
