Chase moving limit

Hey guys,
I'm considering moving my $5k from ritz to freedom and closing it out. Will they think I'm a churned or something? I did pay the AF.

What's the hurry to close it out?  They certainly are less likely to think that you are churning if you wait some time.  You just got the card, paid the AF , so there is no need to rush to close it out.

Did you get the bonus?

Re: Chase moving limit

Yes I got the bonus, but i don't want or need to close it, I would just rather have the limit on my freedom card, with 0 apr. Since I can't get a CLI, that's the only option.

I'd suggest you wait to close it out until later in the year.

Just move everything but $500 from the RC.

Re: Chase moving limit

Good idea. I thought there was a minimum $5k on RC

Re: Chase moving limit

You'll be able to move all but $500.  They need to keep $500 on the card while they process the cancellation.  You won't have any trouble though.  I just cancelled my RC and moved my line to another card.  They moved everything but $500.

Re: Chase moving limit

I'd be happy to keep it open with a $500 limit. I love the card.

Re: Chase moving limit

Don't close it right away. You are probably aware of how anti churn Chase is. I did it once with my SW card but if you've noticed, I've left all my other Chase cards open. I think I had my SW card 5 months before closing it BTW.
