Chase thinks I have Freedom with EMV

Just called Chase to see about getting my Freedom card reissued with the EMV Chip.

"No problem, I can order that for you... I see on our records you have the Chase Freedom with EMV chip already?"

Um, No, the card I'm looking at doesn't have a chip anywhere. (turn the card over just to be sure...maybe it's on the back...)

"Ok, then I will request a replacement card with the EMV chip. It should be there in 3 to 5 business days."

Glad I called. Their data is out of alignment with my reality.

Edit: I did add the card to Apple Pay on my iPhone recently. I wonder if that confused their systems.

Re: Chase thinks I have Freedom with EMV

I just called Chase now to request an updated card. Shortest call I've had with a CCC ever
