Re: Chase

I have 2 chase accounts and both were done by getting RECON. BP(1K) and Freedom (500) and they pulled TU for BP and it didnt show for for Freedom...

Again it's All based on your overall report how many lates? INQ? Ratio? and overall score. So some people might have 750 and 23 apps and get denied because of 23 apps. some might have 640 and no apps but one bad from years ago and get approved so its all about how they view you risk wise. So i think the question is what CHASE card are you looking to get?? and why? because different cards different perks.

Re: Chase

From what I've read, Chase uses their own internal score which includes more than your FICO score. I'm not sure anyone really knows exactly what that internal score consists of, but if you are not instantly approved for a card,  they are very good with recons.  Good luck Smiley Wink

+1 And they will not consider you for a lesser card at time of application to answer your question. Only walmart and a few other cc companies do that.

Sam's Mastercard $15k / Walmart Mastercard $10k / Blispay $7.5k PayPal Ex MC $10.8k

Re: Chase

Thank you all again.  I only came to Chase after reading about trying the pre-qualifed route and did so and gave me some offers.  My credit file is relatively thin with total of 9 accounts, 7 good, 2 bad (1 of 2 is a paid/closed auto loan with just one late 5.5 years ago) so my only concern is over the 1 other negative besides waiting for TU to update. Good to know about recon -- is there an underwriting phone # to contact for this?

Thank you.  Checked out whogavemecredit, but wondering how accurate that even is.  I see denials with high scores, and approvals with lows so something else is in the mix, plus can't always tell which report they pulled.  FICO from auto lender put me at 760 and FAKO at 705 but IDK what Chase will see on the real score.

Both are self-reporting and thus potentially filled with poor data.  I don't know why people recommend whogavemecredit, I hate the interface (and don't like Fleet bank being on the home page, update it!).

I also look at Credit Karma sometimes.  This lists the average score and minimum score based on the CK records.   (I don't know if it is score at the time of application through CK, or score now, which is less useful, but still interesting!).  And yes, FAKO scores, but you can compare it to your FAKO score and I think that is still more meaningful than what someone self-reported

Good to know! Thanks for your opinion. Now let's let them decide for themselves and make their own decision on the matter.

As compared to what?  I could issue Order of Control A-4353-34343 (Authorization of Summary Execution for mentioning "whogavemecredit" 2013)

forcing people to agree with me, but I usually do not.

Everything here is "In my opinion", what else could it be?

If I'm removed I can live with the satisfaction I tried to do my best to pay it forward. I can live with that and feel good

about it and not feel any anger toward you or the Myfico family.
