I've had my Chase Freedom since Nov. & no auto cli.  I'm going to app for a Sapphire in Nov./Dec.

Keep an eye for their preapproval page 1st....chances are you will pull up prior to Nov/Dec.

Re: Chase

For Chase if you are talking about upgrading to the Signature card it requires a 5K CL and at least 13 months old.  As others have mentioned CLIs with Chase are HPs. If you have 5K already then you will need to wait until December 15 to request a Siggy Smiley Sad  and the Siggy is no HP.

Yeah (on the upgrade).  Will try a HP cli on amazon when app for Sallie Mae.

Signature needs updating

I haven't recieved any CLI either with these cards, is it time and will that be a HP or SP?

No creditor simply exchanges CLI's for time.  The limit and CLI you qualify for is based on your credit and income.  If you initiate the request it is an HP with Chase.

Do anyone know if I can do an upgrade without an hardpull?  Maybe its called a Product Change.

What do you specifically mean?  What are you looking to do?  A PC is when you switch to a different product (i.e. a card other than the Freedom).

Re: Chase

My question was answered, I was considering a PC, but I'm not sold on letting Freedom go, I really like Freedom.  Gathering info and just letting things marinate, so I can come to a rock solid conculsion once I start making moves.

Re: Chase

You know what's funny about my Chase Freedom, I've had the card since 1999. Not sure when it was changed to the "Freedom", but I had a 10k limit back then. In 2007 I made a late payment and they CLD to 6900 (I believe it was maxed out around 6900 too). Then after I paid it off, I believe in 2008, they CLD to 5000. It's been 7 years and I've had the same limit. I don't know if they will ever CLI! I always look for special offers or auto CLI but it's never happened. My scores are quite good now too. Kind of frustrating really because I have 2 other cards over 5k.
