PenFed (Pentagon Federal Credit Union): Customer requestd CLI=Hard Pull (but same hard pull can be used for multiple applications).  Preapproved CLI=soft

Hope I was clear.  If you already have hard inquiry in last 3 months, I think you can get CLI based on that inquiry as well.  Probably good to ask them.

Dang Navy Fed does a hard pull??

I'm glad I got an Auto CLI from them a few months ago!!

Thats correct, PenFed uses the same pull for 90 days as confirmed by the CSR when i opened my account with them.

Unless auto CLI, they do a HP. I got a CL of $28K with them on one card  and they said if I wanted another one down the line unless they give it, it will be a hard inq. Confirmed by the card supervisor

Wow thanks for the info, I've never asked them for an increase but they did give me one on my Platinum card so I'm just gonna hang back for the time being. Still living off the AmEx Platinum high that I just got, made my first charge today for some supplements!!!

And this is the reason why this thread is so important, so please people, let me know of any cards you have and you know if its a hard pull or a soft pull.
