Chip and Signature on Amex PRG

I didn't see anyone mention this yet, but I received an email from Amex saying my PRG cards are being replaced with chip and signature cards shortly. Anyone else get this notice?

Re: Chip and Signature on Amex PRG

It has been available for quite some time now.  They've been offering it on more cards over time and slowly rolling them out to everyone.  Here's one thread from last year:

To answer the OP's question yes I know several people who have recently the email, apparently AMEX will be sending new cards to everyone who has not already replaced there card though a request, or other reason (expired, damaged etc).

Interesting.

I didn't get this email, but that was probably because I requested one a couple weeks ago...looks pretty good!

Re: Chip and Signature on Amex PRG

A minority view I guess, but I don't think it looks pretty good at all!   Once you are used to chips, it's just like the holograms, and in this case I think it doesn't fit in at all with the design.   Maybe one day we will see new designs where the chip appears more integrated but this isn't one!
