Citi AAdvantage - Nice!

Kudos to Citi AAdvantage!!  I'm into month 2 of having this card and I just broke $2K in spend last week and today the 45K miles are already applied to my AAdvantage account.  Plus they added the 2K on top of that for the $1/1 Mile as well. Nice teaser and follow-through on their part.  I guess I need to plan another trip and see about using them in the next year.

Yes the miles generally post quickly on my accts too. Im still grieving the whole CVS VR deal Smiley Sad though so not bothering for a 2nd Executive AAdvantage card.

For the Platinum its generally 12-24 months between apps. Most people are good after 18 months. YMMV

It's always great not to have to wait around for bonuses to be posted.

Wait, what happened with CVS and VR? Did they stop accepting credit cards?

Yes, in some areas it still works but should be blocked network wide by April 4th.  Lots of people stocking up if they are in areas still taking cards.

Yep, just finished my 10k initial spend thankfully. It is sad to see VRs go, but I only relied on them for high initial spend requirements (like if I got multiple cards with high spends at once etc). Was considering getting another citi exec card, but I'm not going to run  another 10k of spend. Oh well easy come easy go.
