Citi APR reduction

My account is about a month old now, just tried for a APR reduction and they wouldnt do it.  I have 9 months of 0% APR for purchases and BTs, they told me "rest assured you will not be charged any interest until February of 2018 if your balance is not paid in full at that time." So I guess Ill try to start chipping away at the APR in February.

I tried again today...and they responded back with the same 21.74% I got yesterday... Well, 2% drop is better than 0%! I'll try again next month. Really love my citi and discover cards because you can ask for APR decreases, CLIs directly online. Unlike my Chase and Barclaycard-cards where you have to call, the answer is always no, and it's always a HP.

So I just logged in to make a payment...and it said my APR was 19.74%...Surprise!

Hopped on chat again just a few minutes ago and I'm down anther 2 points to 16.74% That makes a total reduction from 24.24% of 7.5 points!

Also: WOOHOO! 100 posts!

Chatted again today and im down to 14.99%. I wonder if I can get any lower than that.

I think 14.99% or 14.74% is minimum for most of their cards? I think some bottom out at 16%....I could be wrong.

Ah, no, not meant to be. I didn't expect anythign to happen. Just more inspiration to try again in a few months when I ask for a CLI.
