If they weren't 3% fee I'd take advantage of one of them but sadly, no.

I've been getting bombarded recently on all my Citi cards too but the only attractive one is Diamond Preferred. It has a $0 BT fee and 1.99% until 5/1/2021 (expires 4/7/20). I was waiting until today to do the SP CLI as today is 6 months since my last CLI. I did the SP and got $2K increase up to $21.9K. I was even willing to take a HP and asked for $40K. I'm awaiting still awaiting decision. I don't have any balances to transfer but for 2%, give me all you will. I can invest at a much higher rate as it gives me extra liquidity to finish a couple of projects at a more favorable cost of capital. I'm going to make out on this deal...!! The fact that I can write checks is what makes this workable. Thumbs up Citi!!!

Citi giving a $0 BT  offer? Thats rare and hugeSmiley Happy CongratsSmiley Happy

Citi has sent me a letter about their balance transfer promotion every day for the past month. No exaggeration. Every day I check my mail, there is a Citi envelope waiting for me. Are these guys insane? I'm already annoyed with them for cutting ALL of the normal benefits/protections (like extended warranty, for example). In what universe do they think it's acceptable to spam me like that? Crazy thing -- I have no balances to transfer.

Has anyone else experienced this type of ridiculousness from Citi or am I just a system malfunction?

Me, too.  I'm getting it for my simplicity which already has a BT on it and is my only balance.  DAILY when I log in, too.

Dont worry, those offers will stop when you need them

That's sadly a true story

That's exactly the reason I play the game the way I do. The best (and only) time to get access to credit is when you don't need it. Because if/when you need it...crickets!! You have to think like the bank.

^^^^ This.   Also sadly, I'm not on their list.    Maybe in a couple of years.

Rebuilding is like smoking a brisket: it takes a lot of love, the right spice, and a ton of patience. You don't rush a brisket-- it goes low & slow. Sometimes, you need a crutch through the stall. In the end, the process matters.
2021 goals:
1) GARDEN until I app for Mortgage.
2) Pay Down overall revolving debt aggressively and accountably, to under 30%, including my HELOC.
3) Don't waste the gifted 0% time on the student loans.
4) Ultimately, refi the house at non-usury terms.

Re: Citi Balance Transfer Offer Spam

I was having this issue with Citi as well. I havent heard anything from them since beginning of March when covid 19 start shutting businesses down. I still have the offer on the website but they have not reminded me in a long time its there. Now its almost like they hope I dont see it. LOL. Capital one and Discover were also spamming me in emails and snail mail for balance transfers, but they stopped too. I have their offers still on the websites though.

@Carmy03, yeah. We are in a much different world today than just a few short weeks ago. Crazy! Based on all that's happened, I'm sure the banks are being very cautious. The best time to get money from a bank is when you don't need it. When you need it, umm, good luck!
