This is great news ...... What all docs did they request from you ? How close/far was it from your trip ?

I was asked to submit the original itinerary, a copy of my credit card statement, proof of canceled itinerary and a physician's note which you can get from ya doctor. The trip was originally scheduled for May 27th, I cancelled the flight directly with AA on May 18th. Initiated the claim process with Citi on June 1st, submitted the requested documents last Thursday, got the approval email this afternoon. That's pretty much it.

I am curious as to why you attempted to mark out the "Benefits service center" number.

I dont see why it would matter since its freely available by googling. Also, it seems that same number is referenced up top. Smiley LOL

Lmaooo I coulda sworn the number listed was the direct number to the claims adjuster. I swear sometimes I loose my brain cells, don't be mad at me lol 😂😂😂😂😂

Premier/Prestige cards are the creme de la creme when it comes to purchase protection and travel insurance. I gladly put all my big ticket items on my Premier, even at a lesser earn rate. As for travel, thats a no brainer with 3x TY points.

Would trip cancellation work for Southwest Wanna Get Away flights?

Those are nonrefundable but they allow you to use your confirmation number as credit for a future flight up to a year later.

I'm finding myself really beginning to like Citi as well. Their price rewind feature works easy too. Unlike most cards, you can just sit back and they'll do the price checking for you.

Talking about that, I got over $400 in price rewind from them last year. Nothing not to love bout Citi... oh well beside the conservative CL they give but the free money more than makes up for it.

I believe it should work so long as it's a nonrefundable revenue ticket and u paid for it with ur Prestige. If they ask for proof of expired voucher/credit just tell them it doesn't apply to u or u weren't provided any. Unfortunately I never flown SW nor have any idea how the "Wanna Get Away" flight works but u should be fine.
