Citi CLI Before Six Months...

I got a CLI on my citicard on 12/20/13...I have had heavy usage since then....(5k limit world master, charged and paid 8300 last month)

Will I get an auto decline if I try for a CLI before the six month period?

Have you checked to see if it will be SP but checking online at the wording for requesting CLI?

If you're looking for a SP CLI, perhaps it will. If you're willing to take a HP CLI it may not. Double check verbiage on CLI page of Citi's website.

A SP yes but a requested HP is every 6 months.

It says this for both of my cards:

It's easy to find out if you qualify for a credit limit increase. By clicking "Continue" you understand that we will obtain a credit bureau report to evaluate your request. Our credit department will review your request within 24 hours.

If I call them..do u think they can see if they can get me a CLI with a SP...been a cardmember since 2009...perfect payment history

@Andy77, I've always had good success by calling them but really only every six months with SPs.

I was only able to do it every 6 mo's and we use it heavily, they always approved it, but not before the 6mo mark.

Yeah, you're gonna need to wait the 6 months.

I was able to obtain a CLI on my CDP card x3 after just 3 months but had to go through the EO for it. Now it's been 6 months i tried the the SP Online Button and as expected it came back a negative but at least the letter qualifies for a Equifax free credit report. I don't dare press my luck with the EO again for awhile ALTHOUGH that is still an open option for CLI.

When I called and tried to do a CLI over phone the CSR was able to tell me that it would be a HP so I stopped. Might we worth the call for you. =)
