Citi CLI Question

Why is it that some people can request a CLI an it's granted with a soft pull an others like myself have to take a hard? Had my card over 6 months with a 2300 CL.

Re: Citi CLI Question

I received my card July 09 with a credit line of $4000.  I have yet to receive a CLI.   I always get the form.  Now I get a message saying to call customer service whenever I hit the button to check.

Re: Citi CLI Question

citi likes heavy spending and many balance transfer

if you have 5000 limit , and spend only 300 a month, there is no reason they ll give more ..

The CLI button has been there for that past 3 months but i have to always fill out a forum which i'm sure that would be a hard.

Re: Citi CLI Question

yeah, that may be the case.  i started with 6000 and BT'd to about 4k, and then requested the CLI 6 months later when the prompt to call came up.  I got an instant 2100, BT'd again and 3 months later another 2100.  i paid them off and now have a 10,200 limit and i haven't had the card a year.

Re: Citi CLI Question

I have a platinium select card with citi, I did sign up with autopay to pay my account online and citi does have my bank account information, I have had my card since March30 of this year and have recieved 2 cli's no hard pull.  Maybe that is an option you can consider and then see if you still get the bank information form to fill out, but if you carry a balance on your card, citi takes the whole amount out of your bank for payment when it is due.

When you get the message to call and no form that is a soft pull, I recieved 2 cli's so far one for $1,400 and the other for $1,200 citi is very generous with giving out cli's card is only 7 months old

I get the message to call. Is it an automated system or a live agent you talk to?  And do they just ask the standard questions (income, how much you want) or do they go more in depth?
