Citi CLI Question

Has anyone ever called citi and was told that you were pre approved for a cli ? i called for an increase on my $400 limit and i told cs that i wanted a increase of 2000 and she said ok, few seconds later she saids im preapproved for $800 limit and then asks do you still want me to continue for the 2000 limit increase and i said no. Do you think i can get another increase if i was already preapproved for one?

right now, you recieved a $800 cli from citi with a soft pull that is the amount you was preapproved for, so if you want to go ahead for $2000.00 citi will now pull hard, if you do not mind a credit inquiry and can afford to do so it is up to you, congrats on your cli, remember too citi for the most part every three months citi gives out cli's and mostly soft pulls.

thanks for the reply. I cant afford an inquiry right now so i guess ill wait. And by the 3 month mark should i use the online credit line request link or should i call better?
