No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I'm seeing two different language sets for browser and mobile:
Browser: "We will not obtain a credit bureau report to evaluate your request, and you will receive a decision instantly. All fields are required unless specified as optional."
Mobile: "Answer the following questions. Based on your responses, you could be approved instantly without a credit bureau report."
I'm at day 61 with my only Citi account (Costco). The difference between the two references is not reassuring, should I trust the web language to in fact be SP? Combing through threads looking for DP's I'm also seeing varying levels of success and time frames for an initial CLI. Not sure if I should go for it at day 61 (not confusing with Amex rules, just happen to be at day 61).
Ive never heard this language on mobile, heck not even anyone mentioning it afair. Its interesting. What questions are they asking. I wouldnt worry too much on time frame unlike Amex.
Both of those wordings are SP language. The "could be" on mobile is just worded differently, it's not a "roll the dice" situation.
If you have the language on your account, there is NO harm in asking as soon as you see it. It usually comes up anywhere from 7 weeks to 26 weeks for most people after opening a card. Even if you are denied, no clock is reset like with Amex. Once an initial CLI has been granted, it's a minimum of 6 calendar months between requests, but for the first one a lot of us have luck getting them as soon as that language shows up. Good luck!

Thanks K, quite helpful (and hopeful)!
In case anyone is interested in what I was seeing:
In the web browser, I go to “Loan & Credit Options” then “Request a Credit Limit Increase”:

In the mobile app, I go to “Services” then “Credit Management” then “Request Credit Limit Increase”:

@AverageJoesCredit I am really glad you asked that question, because THIS is new. I was going to screenshot it for you but instead I got this. This will prevent me from being denied two or three days in a row before they say yes. 😂
@PullingMeSoftly those are both soft pull language and thanks for posting them!
Edit: And with that confirmation from Citi it's 180 days and not 6 calendar months.
Lol yeah K, now that was mentioned i think here about a week ago or so?. Ill never get that message since all mine are straight denials. Thanks 25K Macys Amex😡

Good thing I noticed this first because I just noticed the same thing messing on the Citi app because I was bored just now😂
Went to request a CLI I know I can't get yet and got the same message
I dont know why but August seems so much further than just saying "six months"
