Surprised and disappointed that Uber and Lyft don't count as travel!
Back to Capital One QS it is!
Wow. I was just doing some reading on that card and didnt realize that Costco card earned that much in terms of reward. 4% on gas and 3% on travel. But yes I am surprised Uber is not considered travel.

Eh. People really generally use Uber to get around town vs using it to travel to a "destination", such as for a vacation. So I can see it not being considered a travel expense.

Can someone describe what counts as Travel in regards to the Citi Costco card?

According to Citi, travel includes "airfare, hotels, car rentals, travel agencies, cruise lines and Costco Travel."

It always depends on how it codes. Uber and Lyft probably code as transportation and not as travel.
Makes sense.
