And I'm not sure which report they pulled, but I have like 15 inqs on TU.
I'm pretty sure they always pull EX.
A lot of people recommend applying for CLI on activation, but I think you might wind up taking another hard pull, which is unfair, since they have a recent one on file.

@Anonymous wrote:Those seem like high APRs you guys are being given. Be care with Citi. Funning thing when I try to see if I prequalify nothing comes up. My scores are great, income is great, ZERO negatives, and low utilization rate. But I have been getting offers from Citi in the mail.
I'm just not impressed with what comes with their cards. I find their rewards points program to be very deficient.
Congrats if you got what you wanted.
+1
I would wait until more offers come in the mail.... they seem to get better with time. Mine went from 0 for 12 months 22.9, to mostly 0 for 15 at 19.99, meanwhile online always showed 0 for 9 months then 22.9..... and one day 0 for 18 then 13.99 comes and I snagged it....
Today I got a Citi Thank You Preferred offer in the mail = 0% for 18 months at 12.99%. Over the past three weeks I'd gotten three other offers: Citi Double Cash at 0% for 15 months at 20.99%, then the Diamond Preferred offered twice for 0% for 18 months at 19.99%. (Wasn't interested in any of those high APRs even with the 0% for 15-18 months.
Now this offers seems like a very viable one. I like the 18 months. That would put me until April 2017, then afterwards at 12.99%. I could accept those terms. The only thing I don't like is that on Citi's website it offers, "Earn 20,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after you spend $1,500 in purchases within 3 months of account opening — redeemable for $200 in gift cards for Macy’s, Best Buy® & more." That was not noted in the mailing. I want those gift cards.
I'll use them at BestBuy towards another computer that I'll put on my BB card at 0% if paid off in 18 months. I want a iMac.
I'll hold off until October. Perhaps I can get a better deal. Can you call on a preselected offer and discuss before hand the lack of the 20,000 bonus points?
