Re: Citi DC or Cap QS?

You could also just wait. You dont seem 100 percent sold on freedom or DC.

Theres no requirement to app for anything. What if something you like even better comes along? Youll be mad you took a HP for something you didnt really want.

My advice is to just wait until youre totally sure. The cards arent going anywhere.

Pretty easy Choice. Get both. neither has an Af. so easy. I would actually pc the Qs1 to the Qs no Af. and not get a new TL. Imo. Of course 2% is better than 1.5% i have both. so now DC is my Top dog. I don't care how long it takes to get the cash. as long as i know i got it coming.

Can you explain this further? Not familiar with theese abbreviations lol

Ok. as i said. get both. Neither has Annual fee. I would product change the Quicksilver 1 to regular Quicksilver. and not get  anew Tradeline. or new account. I said. Double Cash is my top dog. I will wait even though it takes longer to redeem my cash back. hope you got it now.edit. basically by product changing. you are saving the history of the qs1 you have but upgrading to the Quicksilver. without a new app. which helps your score. go ahead and get the double cash simple for the money. You will find the limit to be pretty low on the Double cash. and for larger puchases and higher limits. use your quicksilver. Thats why you want to let the Qs1 or Quicksilver one Grow and keep it.

Gotcha.

I'll call Cap 1 then..only thing is I never activated my Qs1 so they might want me to use that for bit. I guess in long run..DC would be better than Freedom unless I maxed out on the categories each year but like I  said, I do have a IT.

Ok. nothing a small netflix charge or a 1 dollar redbox charge can't fix. after 6 months. Bye bye. if you have had it that long already. activate it now and ask to be upgraded. You do know that Qs1 grows like crazy right? When i got mine. It was $500. But within a year. it was 5k. then upgraded to Quicksilver. Then they upgraded to World edition.

I got approved I think last Novemeber and never activated/used it...if i had to guess, they wont upgrade me.

Like i said though, sign up bonus is big too for not a huge spender, so if I just upgraded im not i'd get the 100 which would then be pointless over the DC.

It would take $20,000 in spend to meet the $100 sign up bonus the QS card offers. For me, it was an easy decision. I've since moved on from either of the two and really only put <$750 in spend on the QS, so I'm glad I didn't get the DC, I'd be regretting that decision.

This would be me.  QS1 with fee perma waived.  Just auto billing Netflix, hardly ever use.  The DC would not be advantageous.

I know I said I wasn't really a fan of rotating categories, but the Freedom after research is growing on me. even though I have the IT the 5% categories don't seem to overlap same times which can help maximize my cash back. While researching though I did come upon an article that Chase is decreasing the benefits of it starting in 2016

I don't have a chase bank account, and like the Amex travel portal better (or sales directly from the airlines themselves Smiley Wink).  I find both cards useful.

BCE seems nice but highly unlikely at this point i'd get approved for AMEX.
