Citi DC rewards question

I've put about $6k through my DC card this month.....there's no cashback showing in the tracker? Am I doing something wrong? Or does it maybe not show up until after the statement cuts?

sorry if this is a dumb question.

Re: Citi DC rewards question

It will show up after statement cuts as 1%.  If you pay it off before the statement cuts, you'll see the 2% in total cashback

Great thanks! I've already paid it all off. So I should get the 2% at statement time, perfect. I wish it tracked in real time haha.

Re: Citi DC rewards question

The thing to watch out for is that if you want the full 2%, you need to redeem your rewards for a check or bank deposit. Taking a statement credit will give you slightly less than 2%.

Re: Citi DC rewards question

There is also an option to convert to thank you points if you already have a card that earns that.

There is no requirement of another TYP earning card to convert CB to TYP. Although without a premier or prestige, TYP from DC is not very useful or valuable.

I didn't realize that.  Thanks for the info!

Did this change since last year?  My $25 credits never cost more than that.  I haven't used the card for last 6 months though.

Usually right after I crossed $25 cash back reported, I'd submit a $25.00 credit, leaving the rest to grow for the next $25.00.

Re: Citi DC rewards question

It's added when the statement cuts. If you haven't paid off the purchases, they will show 1% cash back. Whatever you HAVE paid will show 2% cash back.

I love this card; it's my daily driver!

Discover It: 26.5k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Amex Cash Magnet: 20k
Apple Card: 9k

My understanding is that if you take a statement credit, then you don't get the second 1% for the amount of the credit because a statement credit isn't considered a "payment". So it works out to more like 1.98%.

I could be mistaken. I have a 2.625% Visa and a 2.5%+ Amex. I don't use Plastiq and I don't really care for TYs. You can imagine how rarely I use my DC. I'd have closed it a while ago if I wasn't logging in to Citi anyway for my Costco card.

Something could have changed on the card without my knowledge.
