Hello fellow myFicoers,
So I have had this lingering thought in my mind. I have had the (Sh)Citi Dividend card since 2011 and have had just one CLI since then.
I have also been a straggler, and Citi has been inviting customers to do a PC to the Citi DC since the Dividend card is now discontinued. I have not made the move since I have been waiting for a good offer.
Maybe that's the cause of no CLIs since all my requests for CLI's (every 6-7 months) get denied...what do you guys think?
Will this change if I make a PC to Citi DC?
This is the only card I have a CL of $4.5k, all others, but one are over 10k.
I have no baddies.
Util hovers between 15-20% since the past 3-3.5 years, prior to that has always been below 30%.
AAoA is about 5.5 years.
Edit AAOA*
What do the denial letters say the reasons are for not getting a CLI? Depending on the reasons, it could occur on the DC also.

LOLZ I got into trouble for adding the (SH) to Citi a few months ago, so just a heads up boys LOL.
As far as SP CLIs it may help to use the card if OP isn't already using it. A lot of lenders these days are looking at usage when assigning increased credit lines. If a cardholder does not utilize the existing line, the bank will assume that there is no need for a higher line.
I actually use my Citi ThankYou Premier quite often but they won't SP CLI on this card.
The other card (Citi Forward) did get an increase right after the TY Premier got denied the CLI. That card is nearly sockdrawered since they nerfed the 5% points on restaurants.
OP, why do you want a CLI? You seem to have plenty of credit already.

I just got approved for the simplicity card and will covert it over to dividend if possible and apply for the simplicity again lol.
I've heard that Citi doesn't allow the Simplicity to be converted to anything.
