@Anonymouswrote:I actually use my Citi ThankYou Premier quite often but they won't SP CLI on this card.
The other card (Citi Forward) did get an increase right after the TY Premier got denied the CLI. That card is nearly sockdrawered since they nerfed the 5% points on restaurants.
I am surprised you still have a Visa. They forced my Diamond Preferred Visa, my first ever Visa, into a MasterCard last year. Off subject, just surprised as I thought they had migrated most cards to MasterCard.

The TY Premier was opened in early 2015 using a prequal link. At that time the public offer was already MC, but the prequal gave me a Visa Signature. I lost the card some time in 2017 after dining in a restaurant so I requested a replacement (by which time the public offer was MC with the new card design), and the new card still came as a Visa Signature with the old arc design. Guess they might allow me to convert it to a WEMC if I ask but I don't want to bother the phone call and also somehow want to see how long they would keep the account as a Visa lol.
I've read that Citi signed a deal or whatever to migrate their products to MC, but obviously their "new" Costco card is Visa. The Best Buy card is also Visa, but I believe you would need a separate online account for that if you have the card.
@Anonymouswrote:What do the denial letters say the reasons are for not getting a CLI? Depending on the reasons, it could occur on the DC also.
The denial reasons are similar to what PlyrStar93 has posted.

As far as SP CLIs it may help to use the card if OP isn't already using it. A lot of lenders these days are looking at usage when assigning increased credit lines. If a cardholder does not utilize the existing line, the bank will assume that there is no need for a higher line.
LOL! What trouble?
I thought he same since I've been using it for BT for years, late last year they gave me a 0% apr on all purchases for 9 months and I that card like there was no tomorrow. PIF when the promo ended.
The request for CLI was after I PIF. Not sure what they want.
@UpperNwGuywrote:OP, why do you want a CLI? You seem to have plenty of credit already.
Greed! Plain, simple and dry.
Also, that they have given me 1 CLI in over 7 years.
@Anonymous wrote:Hello fellow myFicoers,
So I have had this lingering thought in my mind. I have had the (Sh)Citi Dividend card since 2011 and have had just one CLI since then.
I have also been a straggler, and Citi has been inviting customers to do a PC to the Citi DC since the Dividend card is now discontinued. I have not made the move since I have been waiting for a good offer.
Maybe that's the cause of no CLIs since all my requests for CLI's (every 6-7 months) get denied...what do you guys think?
Will this change if I make a PC to Citi DC?
This is the only card I have a CL of $4.5k, all others, but one are over 10k.
I have no baddies.
Util hovers between 15-20% since the past 3-3.5 years, prior to that has always been below 30%.
AAoA is about 5.5 years.
Edit AAOA*
Quick update.
I called them and PC'ed over to the DC, it should be arriving in 3-4 weeks. So long 5% categories...
