I have a Citi Double Cash and I want to run large spending volume through it but my CL is only $2500. Can I run it up and pay it off multiple times a month while still earning the 2%? I looked on Citi website and could not find out. The 1% when you pay thing is what makes me think this might not work if I don't let the statement cut with the balance on there. Please advise.
Thank you both! I ran it up right away and I have been just using other cards for rewards points, but I would really like to use this more if possible. I will pay it off and keep on going. Thanks again.

You can definitely pay multiple times per month. I pay three times a week on my capital one cards because it has such a low limit. If you are too many payments, they may hold your payments.
I was doing this for a little while. Not with such frequency though..Mostly because they didn't like you paying more than....~15% over what's "Due"

The poster was referring to Citi Bank and that is why I mentioned my limit of four times (which is multiple times per month) but this does not automatically carry over for other lenders. Each is unique to their own requirements.
Correct, I know I can pay whenever I want on most of my cards and I will still get full 2%. I just couldn't find a definite answer at Citi so I asked on here. Thanks Wanderer for the answer I was looking for. After reading your post I went to my online account and I was going to pay the current balance on both my Thank You Premier and my 2x Cash, but they won't let me pay before my first statement cuts. So I guess I am locked out until mid November. I will just have to put my spending on one of the other many cards that will take my early payments! No big deal as long as I keep to my "Don't spend on anything on your Discover card rule"
When I first got my TYP I ran into the same problem. A work around was calling a making a payment over the phone using the automated system. Worked like charm. You can also push the payment with bill pay through your bank.

Thanks for the alternate payment methods!
