So my reports updated and my scores went up so i decided to finally apply for the Citi Forward.
I got the dreaded extra processing message but did get a chance to add some options to my card and then it gave me a printable confirmation page with all my selections and said something like "enjoy your new citi card"
So what do you folks think this means? Is their a number i could call to find out sooner?

definitely call them: 1-888-201-4523 (new application status). If you dont have reference number it will ask you for other information. Good luck and keep us posted.
Called in and they asked me for the name and phone number of close relative??? Also asked me if i agreed to get phone calls and text to the phone number on file.
Weird lol

they asked me similiar questions on 2 of my citi applications. Did they approve you right after or did they tell you you would know in a few days?

No. They said they needed more time to process and i would know in a few days :/
well keeping my fingers crossed for you then! Good luck and hopefully you hear some good news soon!
I apped for the ThankYou Preferred on the 27th and got the same 7-10 days. I called, no way to speed things up. I called every day until I finally heard I was approved on the 31st. I just got an email today from Citi that said I was approved. If I didn't call, this is how I would have found out. Nothing in the mail yet.
Good luck!
Man, it was a headache for me when I applied for the Citi Forward last year. The process took about a month! They asked me to send in some documents (since I just moved), and then they asked me to send some other stuff 2 weeks later! But when they finally received everything that they needed, my card came in like 2 days.
