I couldn't contain myself and apped for the Citi Forward, despite having two new cards (Amex & Discover). The 5x points on amazon was just too appealling for me since I do most of my shopping there.
Unfortunately, they started me with a low CLI ($4000), perhaps owing to the fact that I have too many new cards. What are my chances of a CLI at activation? How is Citi with CLI?
Citi doesn't give a CLI for the first 6 months on accounts I believe. You could try a CL recon and see if that leads anywhere.

I guess a CL is like beauty; it's in the eye of the beholder.
I consider $4,000 a pretty decent CL.
I'm just giving you a hard time. Congratulations on the approval.

I have heard that citi is pretty good with CLIs but I don't have a citi card (the citi card I want is AA for the 75k miles).
I will wait for other experts to chime in...

that's kind of what i was thinking! i see a lot of these type of posts though. congratulations, OP!
Thanks everyone. I've been seeing a lot of high CL from Citi so I was a little disappointed with the 4k in a relative sense. I do plan on using this for Amazon purchases only though so 4k should be enough for that.
How do you get 75K miles on AA Advantage? Every time I go to the Citi web page, I saw 40K miles and now 30K miles.
Is there a link to apply for 75K miles?
scuba you can find the link for the card on flyer talk forum. My mother and I applied for the 75k bonus card. I think citi was generous with the CL.
good luck to you
