Any reports on successful PC of Citi Forward after the reward structure changes? I've called twice since the change and my account was not eligible.
Not here. I asked a week or two ago via SM. They wouldn't even move my limit over to another card.
Im curious about this too. Seeing as there is no sign up bonus on thank you premier currently, and dont really want to open a new cc account, I wish citi will let us upgrade card to thank you premier. its a thank you card, so i dont understand why they are only offering other people the double cash card as the only conversion option. OP have u tried contacting citi cards executive office? I was going to try back of card number first, and try with EO. I'll post my results.
Nothing for me a week ago. Reallocate limit either. When I went to close the card I did get an offer for 7,500 typ for 1k spend in 3 months. I went ahead and took the offer and kept the card open.
Citi has made it pretty obvious with many people that they are not willing to PC this card. For most people the resolution is either to live with the downgraded version or just close it.
I don't have the card but 2 points per dollar seems basically worthless to me so I'd be just closing it (unless you get a retention offer, like some have). But a PC probably won't be happening. I think even when the card was "alive" PCs did not occur because of the unique APR structure of the card (they lower your APR if you pay your bill and such, which they don't offer on other cards).

You and that word 'obvious,' Kdm... I don't think anything with Citibank is obvious; and I believe it's way too early to come to that conclusion regarding the Citi Forward card given the new structure Citi rolled out for the product. It's true that there was an APR reduction component on the card for a period of time, but I cannot recall the last time my Forward card has received it (probably years ago), so I'm inclined to believe that it's not a consideration with respect to their current stance on PC'ing this card.
I have a suspicion that PCs will become available in due time. After all, I'm sure Citi would rather keep those cardholders than see them go due to the calamity they caused to the product's reward structure. You can't tell me that Citi believes that Forward cardholders are going to just welcome the butchering to their cards. Perhaps it will take some cancellations to accelerate the authorization of PCs, but I do think it will come.
It is obvious based on many, many people being denied for a PC and reporting it on here over the years. I'm only coming to the conclusion because to my knowledge, no one has ever been able to PC the card, even when it was still available. Anything can happen in the future, in theory, but I don't want to give anyone false hope. All indications have been that once a Forward, always a Forward.
Again, the APR structure is unique on the card, and I believe some have said that has been a roadblock with PC, similar to not being able to PC a Simplicity because of its fee structure. If a card has very specific terms and conditions sometimes you are stuck with it. I'm sure Citi doesn't want to see anyone go, but unfortunately sometimes it's not possible to let people switch products.

Well, you can certainly rely on other people's experiences from years ago to reach your opinion; but what is certain today is that the card is going through changes now and it shouldn't come as a surprise that policies can change as well, especially in anticipation of customer dissatisfaction.
everyone be patient, its much better to wait and hopefully consolidate the CL.
