Citi Forward not properly coded!

Hi everyone,

I applied for a student Citi Forward card in April, which supposes to give 5 points for each dollar spent on restaurant. I eat out a lot so it's really a great card to have. However, since my first statement near the end of April, I noticed that I got only one point for everything. I called them immediately and onver the course of several months, I was promised that it should be fixed. However, my 4th statement just closed and nothing was done.

My question is if  this is a common problem? The rep I spoke with implied this was a system-wide problem affecting all Forward cards opened around April. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Is there anything that you would suggest toward fixing this? Obviously I'd like to get my 5 points/dining dollar.

TIA for any info.

some people had this problem, and had to contact customer service.

it was eventually fixed and the missing points were applied.

call them again to find out, if not head to a local branch.

Re: Citi Forward not properly coded!

This has actually occured before April. Some card holders have been calling back and getting the issue escalated. Citi has given numerous reasons for the points not being  added...such as that was a limited time promotion, the account isn't eligible, it takes  a cycle to correct, etc. I would call them up and ask for a supervisor to escalate the issue. If it still doesn't appear after next cycle I would contact the Executive Office.

Re: Citi Forward not properly coded!

I applied in January and has the same problem. The CSR escalated it to a supervisor immediately for me and the situation was fixed within 2 days. The supervisor even called me to let me know they fixed the situation!
